300,636 children to be administered polio drops in Larkana

LARKANA: As many as 622 mobile and 79 fixed teams have been formed to administer anti-polio drops to 300,636 children in entire Larkana district during the three-day next round starting from 15th February.

This was revealed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, Javed Jagirani, here on Wednesday in which revenue and district health officials also participated. A target of 300,636 children was set in the meeting who will be administered anti-polio drops in all bazaars, shopping centres, railway stations, bus stands, hospitals, villages, towns and cities of the district to eradicate polio. DC directed all the revenue officers to resolve all issues faced by the polio teams and ensure provision of required security to them so that no child is left unattended. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the performance of the teams during the last round.
