Call to resolve problems of Naundero School

NAUNDERO: The Head Mistress, Government Girls High School Naundero, has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, requesting him to solve genuine problems facing the school.

This school was recently inaugurated by Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, and it is proclaimed as the only model school of the town. She wrote that teaching staff, computer lab, science lab, projector, furniture, peon, electric water heater and standby diesel generator are urgently required to this school. She said that two female teachers Nusrat Seema Abro and Erum Abro, both JSTs, working in Government Boys High School Phulpota-1 are willing to serve in this school hence the same teachers may be transferred.

Copies of the letter have also been sent to Director School Education, DEO, Larkana and MPA (PS-37). This shows that there is serious dearth of female teachers in the interior schools of the province which the government must fulfil; otherwise their education will continue to suffer which Sindh cannot afford.

It also shows that even schools built recently are lacking many genuine basic facilities as mentioned above including water, science & computer laboratories without which standard of education cannot even be imagined. As many as 400 girls are enrolled in this school where classes from VI to X are running. More girls will be registered after the annual examinations but when teachers shortage is completed because this school is located in the centre of the town.
