Demo held against Bhutto Estate Manager

NAUNDERO: The residents of village Khuda Bux Mohil held a protest demonstration in their village on Sunday against Bhutto Estate Manager Riaz Phulpoto, alleging that he was obstructing electric supply to their village by using his influence of being Bhutto leaders’ servant.

The protesters, led by Serai Wahid Bux Mohil, Habibullah, Ghulam Nabi Mohil, Ramzan, Sattar Mirani, and Mukhtiar Mohil, were holding Holy Quran on their heads and chanting slogans against the Bhutto leaders’ servan. Speaking on the occasion, the protesting leaders said: “We are staunch supporters of PPP since birth and have always voted in favour of its candidates during all elections but servants of Bhutto leaders are harrassing us.”

They said that in 2011, a tender was floated for supply of electricity to the riverine villages with the assistance of then MPA Ayaz Soomro but due to discriminating attitude of Riaz Phulpoto, no power had yet been supplied to their village. They further alleged that ‘he is using his influence of Bhutto Estate on the SEPCO officials who are constantly asking them to get the permission from Phulpoto first which is unjust’.

They further said that they also lodged a complaint with MPA Mohammad Ali Bhutto but he too was doing nothing and was helpless. They said they even took Holy Book to Riaz Phulpoto but he abused them.

They appealed to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and MNA Faryal Talpur to take notice of the matter and take stern action against the ruthless behaviour of their servant who is misusing power against PPP voters and supporters.
