River inflow at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma

LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 27,000 cusecs and Outflows 65,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11,000 cusecs and Outflows 11,000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 16,300 cusecs and Outflows 55,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 9,200 cusecs and Outflows 6,000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 71,000 cusecs and Outflows 63,500 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 61,600 cusecs and Outflows 57,000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 54,500 cusecs and Outflows 46,000 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 11,000 cusecs and Outflows 1,200 Guddu- Inflows 43,100 cusecs and Outflows 38,200 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 38,900 cusecs and Outflows 7,700 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 9,225 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1504.43 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 4.026 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1217.80 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 5.563 MAF, Chashma – dead level 637 feet, present level 642.60 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.085 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
