Trials for national squad ahead of Azlan Shah Cup in Peshawar on Feb 20

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will be conducting trials to spot talented players from Khyber-Pakhtoonkhawa, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, AJ&K and FATA on February 20 at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium in Peshawar.

PHF’s new setup, spearheaded by legendary Shahbaz Ahmad Sr., who is secretary of the federation, has been conducting trials throughout the country to increase the pool of players and bring talented players to fore.

These trials are especially conducted to select Pakistan senior hockey team from a bigger pool of players ahead of the 25th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, which will be played in Ipoh, Malaysia from April 7 to 17.

PHF has already conducted trials here at Hockey Club of Pakistan for players of southern region.
