55 killed in Yemen airstrikes

In Yemen, fifty five people have been killed and one hundred seventy other injured in airstrikes on the rebel-held Yemeni port city of Hodeida.

Head of the delegation in Yemen for the International Committee of the Red Cross said Johannes Bruwer said the attack took place close to the city’s main public hospital and near a fish market.

The western port of Hodeida is the main point of arrival for aid supplies to Yemen, where around 8.4 million people are believed to be close to starvation.
