Arrested children’s relatives stage demonstration, rally

QUETTA: Relatives of children arrested by Quetta police on charges of their involvement in terrorist activities staged a demonstration in front of Governor House and Press Club here Thursday. They also took out a rally.

Capital City Police Officer Zuber Mahmood in a Press conference here yesterday had said eleven terrorists were arrested most of whom children were aged 10 to 16 years. He had also claimed that militants organisations use these children for terrorists attacks. He stated it is very grave that banned militant organisations use poor and innocent children for terrorism. He said cases would be tried in special courts for children.

Parents and relatives of these children said that their children were missing for several months. Advertisements were published in t he newspapers and FIR were lodged in different police stations. They said police was using such tactics to cover up its failures. If they were not set free they would be forced to tougher protest.

They demanded of Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking suo motto notice for release of these children.
