District: Sambrial Sabzi, fruit wholesale market lacks basic facilities

Sialkot: Local traders, middlemen and vendors have strongly protested against the prolonged nonavailability of all the basic facilities at 60 years Sabzi and Fruit Mandi in Sambrial.

The perturbed middlemen, traders vendors and were carrying banners and placards inscribing their demands of early provision of all missing basic facilities there. They wore the black arm bandages and also chanted antigovernment slogans, in this regard.

Later, talking to media persons at Sambrial here, the protesting traders including Haji Muhammad Nazir, Sheikh Nadeem Ahmed, Sheikh Majid, Saith Murad, Mian Tariq Mehmood, Waheed Anjum and local landlords including Mian Javaid Ahmed, Muhammad Asif Chaudhary, Abdul Razzaq, Baba Shabir Ahmed, Saleh Muhammad and Ch. Mushtaq Ahmed said that they had only Sabzi and Fruit Mandi at Sambrial which was as many as 60 years old and lacks all the basic facilities.

They demanded early provision of the missing facilities there and space for their godowns and shops there or establishing the new Mandi on a waste area of as many as 20 acres in outskirts of the Sambrial city for facilitating the traders and consumers there.
