Five people killed in Karachi violence

Karachi: As many as five people were killed in separate violence incidents in the city on Monday. A 40yearold man, Abdul Sattar, son of Sher Ali, was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Maripur area, within the remit of Maripur police station. The body was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi CHK for medicolegal formalities.

Separately, a 38yearold man, Zafar Iqbal, son of Muzzamail, was shot dead in Old Muzzafarabad Colony, Landhi Town, within the jurisdiction of Quaidabad police station.

The body was moved Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center JPMC for an autopsy.

Similarly, a 45year old man, Attullah, was shot dead and Haider Ali injured in firing by unknown assailants near Paracha Chowk in Shershah area, within the precincts of Shershah police station. The body and injured were rushed to CHK for postmortem and treatment, respectively.

In other firing incident, a 25yearold man, Tanveer Siddiqui, son of Jawaid Siddiqui, was killed in firing by the unidentified men in Saeedabad area of Baldia Town, within the limits of Saeedabad police station. The body was brought to CHK for an autopsy. A 55yearold man, Tooti Khan, was gunned down by armed men in Saudabad, Malir Town, within the remit of Saudabad police station. The body was shifted to JPMC for medicolegal formalities.
