Minister condemns blast

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Information, Education and Social Welfare, Mossarat Qadeem while strongly condemning the Friday Peshawar Cantt suicidal attack on FC convoy, expressed her profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and termed it a brutal act against humanity.

Talking to media persons along with Health Minister Farukh Seir, the Information Minister said, though holding of free, fair and peaceful elections is the basic responsibility of the caretaker government, but it could not ignore the problem of law and order in the province as protection of lives and property of the people is also one of the most important duty of any government.

That was why the caretaker government in its maiden cabinet meeting took the issue of law and orders as a supreme case side by side the holding of free and transparent elections, she added.

Mussarat Qadeem admitted that review on the law and order policy was need of the hour and the caretaker government would soon devise a future strategy in this respect in line with the proposals and recommendations of the Secretary Home, IG Police and other security agencies.

She was confident that the government would succeed in holding of transparent and peaceful elections in the province.

The minister while referring to the healthcare facilities provided to the injured persons in LRH, said that it was not enough and more facilities needed for securing the life of the injured.

She on this occasion directed the LRH authorities to ensure better healthcare facilities to the blast victims.

She also prayed for the eternal peace of the martyrs and early recovery of the injured persons.
