Minister thanks subordinate departments for extending cooperation

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information & Culture and ANP Parliamentary Leader
Mian Iftikhar Hussain while thanking the officers and officials of his subordinate departments for extending their support in efficiently performing his duties, has said, had they not extended their whole hearted support, he would not have succeeded in accomplishing his task effectively.

This he said while addressing a farewell party hosted in his honour by his subordinate departments i.e. Information, Public Relations, Culture, Transport and Inter Provincial Coordination in Nishtar Hall Peshawar.

Besides Secretary Information, Azmat Hanif Orakzai, Secretary Transport, Sikandar Qayum, Additional Secretary Information Faridullah Khan, Additional Secretary IPC Ghazanfar Ali, Director Information Shahabuddin, Director Culture Pervez Sabit Khel and Director Transport Manzoor Khan, officers and officials of the departments were also present on this occasion.

The Information Minister said that he performed his duties with full devotion and dedication adding that he would remember the cooperation of the officers and other staff of his departments forever.

He said that he accepted the portfolios of Information and Culture as a challenge and today he was proud that he was successful in restoration of peace, eradication of terrorism and militancy and unveiling the real face of terrorists through
efficient use of these departments.

Mian Iftikhar reiterated his pledge to fight militancy and extremism in all forms and manifestation adding that coward acts of militants could not weaken his firm determination.

Presenting himself for accountability, he said that he was answerable to the public for his actions and solemnly declared that he did not make corruption of a single penny during his five years term.

The Minister maintained that he deemed public money as sacred trust and remodeled and restructured all the departments working under his supervision in line with the set criterion and rules so as the interest of the public could be saved in the
best possible manner.

Earlier, the Secretary Information and Culture, Azmat Hanif Orakzai eulogized the services of Mian Iftikhar Hussain.

He also presented a gift and a shawl to the minister on behalf of senior officials and employees of the departments.

He said that they shall remember Mian Iftikhar Hussain for his clear vision and relentless services for streamlining and restructuring various institutions and specially for giving hope to the whole nation amid militancy and terrorist acts.
