Reappointment of competent officers demanded

KARACHI: President TehreekeIstiqlal Rehmat Khan Wardaq on Friday called for reappointment of competent administrative officers, who performed duties in the city during 2000 to 2008 period in order, so as to ensure the protection to the life and property of people.

He expressed these views while talking to the Chairperson Ladies Wing Sadia Shah. He alleged that present administrative and police officials were supporting terrorists, extortions and target killers in such circumstance no one can stop such activities.

He said all administrative and police officers appointed by Sindh Chief Minister have failed to maintain good governance in city, while Sindh governor should be given a power of posting and transfer of officers after the dissolution of Sindh Assembly on 16th March.

He urged the governor Sindh to reappoint the officers who had performed duties during 2000 to 2008 in metropolis. Wardag further said law and order situation of Balochistan province has been improved after imposition of governor’s rule in province as the governor appointed the competent new officers on merit basis.

He demanded of the government to immediately transfer the officers who had failed to maintain peace in the city.
