Sachal Sarmast’s Urs begins

KHAIRPUR: The three-day Urs of Sufi saint and poet of Sindh, Hazrat Sachal Sarmast, began on Tuesday in Daraza Sharif near Ranipur amid presence of his followers coming from all parts of the country and abroad including India.

Khawaja Abdullah Farooqi and others visited the shrine of Sachal Sarmast and carried out Ghusul bath to the shrine with Arq-e-Gulab and offered Fateh.

Mahafil-e-Sama was also held on the occasion. Sajjada Nasheen Dr Sakhi Qabool Muhammad Farooqi however boycotted all official ceremonies due to no solution to his issues by the government.

According to official announcement, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah will arrived at Daraza Sharif on 14th of Ramazan, lay wreath on his grave, inaugurate ceremonies of Urs, attend Mahafil-e-Sama and lay foundation stone of Sachal Garden at Dara Sharif.
