Sports ISLAMABAD CRICKET CLUB FOR THE BLIND WINS ALL PAKISTAN PAF CRICKET CHAMPION TROPHY

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Cricket Club for the Blind defeated Azad Kashmir Cricket Club for the Blind by 20 runs, in the final of All Pakistan PAF Cricket Champion Trophy for the Blind, played here at PAF Complex Cricket Ground.

Air Marshal Mohammad Hassan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff Administration who is also Patron in Chief of Islamabad Cricket Club for the Blind was the chief guest on the occasion.

The final match was a close contest and had a thrilling finish. Islamabad Cricket Club scored 293 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 over’s, while Azad Kashmir Cricket Club could score 273 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Anis Javaid was declared Man of the Match for scoring 134 runs and getting 1 wicket.

Six teams from different cities of Pakistan participated in the tournament. The chief guest awarded prizes among the winners of the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated all the participating teams for showing such marvellous sportsman spirit. He further said that PAF was proud of serving the noble cause of bringing the visually impaired in the mainstream of the society.
