Transfer of 30canal state land okayed

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti has approved the transfer of 30 canals state land situated at Mouza Pharala, Tehsil and District Haripur to the Information and Public Relations Department Khyber Pukhtunkhwa for the construction of Media Colony for the journalists of Haripur Press Club.

It is worth mentioning here that last year Provincial Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain during a meeting with the members of Haripur Press Club had announced the construction of a residential colony for the local journalists.

Meanwhile, the chief minister has approved Rs 120 million as supplementary grant for the establishment of institute of peace and conflict studies in the university of Peshawar.

The grant will be provided by the Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through reappropriation savings and surrenders in its development budget during the current financial year.
