Youm-e-Shuhada observed at Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur: To pay tribute to Shuhada of the Armed Forces, who laid their lives for the defence of the motherland, Youm-e-Shuhada was observed at Bahawalpur Garrison Tuesday.

The day started with special prayers for Shuhadas in all mosques of the garrison. A ceremony was held in Bahawalpur garrison which was attended by families/ relatives of the Shuhada, civil and military officers, notables of the area, schoolchildren and media representatives of Bahawalpur region.

Corps Commander Bahawalpur, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat laid the wreath and offered Fateha at the Shuhadas monument.

Speaking on the occasion, Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat highlighted the significance of supreme sacrifices rendered by the Shuhada of the Armed Forces and paid them homage. Relatives of Shuhada also spoke on the occasion and reaffirmed their resolve for the defence of the Country. In the end, children of various schools sung national songs.
