22 Clinics sealed

Sialkot: The special teams of Sialkot health department have sealed as many as 22 clinics for using expired medicines and veterinary medicines on human beings in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils, during the ongoing campaign launched against the quackery in the district here.

EDO (Health) Sialkot Dr. Javaid Warraich disclosed this while addressing an important meeting held here today. DOC Sialkot Malik Abid Hussain Awan, District Drugs Controller Sialkot Dr. Naila Arshad and senior health experts were also present on this occasion.

EDO Health Dr. Javaid Warraich added that the health department’s special teams also raided at various places in the district and also challaned as many as 50 quacks for selling medicines without having licenses , selling prohibited drugs and doing medical practice illegally at their clinics in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils.

He said that the said challans were submitted before the Drug Court Lahore for further trial, in this regard.

He announced that ongoing campaign against the quacks and quackery will remain continue in Sialkot district and all the quacks would be brought to task, saying that the quacks were playing with the precious lives of the people.
