233 ghost employees unearthed in CMCHOctober 26, 2015
LARKANA: As many as 233 paramedics of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Larkana have been found ghost for which they have been issued a joint explanation which says that “during recent verification process it has been found that you are not performing duties at any Block of the Hospital, remain absent and your whereabouts are not known which indicate that you are a ghost worker.”
They have been asked to join government duties immediately and explain position within three days or else serious disciplinary action will be taken. These employees among others include nine staff nurses, two anaesthesia technicians, three bio-medical technicians, two endoscopy technicians, 13 lab technicians, six lab assistants, five dressers, nine nursing orderlies, five dark room attendants, sixty-eight ward servants, thirty-three watchmen, eight security guards, six store attendants and others. Copies of this letter have also been sent to Health Secretary, Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner, Larkana for further necessary action.
Meanwhile, two more doctors have been found ghost which include one medical officer (BS-17) Dr Shakeel Ahmed son of Haji Mohammad Saleh Thebo who was granted sixty-day earned leave on private affairs by the Health Department and was relieved from CMCH on 15.8.2012 and he failed to resume his duties on 14.10.2012; hence, he is absent since then.
Another doctor is woman medical officer Dr Quratulain, daughter of Qurban Ali Shaikh. She was deputed as in-service candidate for a period of three years w.e.f.27.8.2011 to complete FCPS-II (Cardiology) at NICVD, but she has not so far joined back since 27.8.2014. The CMCH authorities have sent letters to Health Secretary to take strict action & also asked District Accounts Officer Larkana to stop their salaries.
