3-day anti-polio drive starts in Quetta

QUETTA: Three- day anti-polio drive has been started in Quetta on Tuesday aimed administering around half million children anti-polio drops.

According to Emergency Operation Cell (EOC) Balochistan, the three day national anti-polio campaign was postponed earlier has now started in Quetta. The campaign will continue in two phases and the next phase would start on April 6.

As many as 483,000 children would be administered anti-polio drops in 18 union councils of Quetta. Around 982 mobile teams, 94 fixed sites teams, 59 transit sites, 35 Union Council In Charges and 181 area in charges are taking part in the campaign.

The case response campaign was started in eight out of nine districts. The campaign was postponed in Loralai district due to the search operation in the area. However, the campaign began in Musakhail, Harnai, Sherani, Zhob, Ziarat, Barkhan, Kohlu and Qila Saifullah.
