Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 30% Pakistanis think there are enough parks in their city; 69% think there are less than enough.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, are there enough parks in your city as needed?” Responding to this question, 30% respondents said that there were as many parks as needed in their city, while 69% said that there were fewer parks than needed and 1% did not respond.
This question was asked once before in March 2013. The trend for public opinion on number of parks has not changed since then. In March 2013 as well, 30% respondents had said the number of parks was enough, 69% had said it was not enough and 1% had not responded.
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2698 men in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 07 – July 14, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
