5 injured in armed clash over land dispute

QUETTA: Five persons were injured in armed clash over land dispute in Jungle Pir Alizai alogn Quetta-Chaman highway Wednesday. According to details Pir Alizai and Kolazai tribes clashed over land dispute at Jungle Pir Alizai about 70 Km along Quetta-Chaman highway today. They used modern weapons including rocket launchers, LMG guns and others. Five persons sustained bullet injuries from either sides. They were identified as Mohiuddin, Abdul Bari, Najeebullah, Qaim Khan and Samiullah. They were provided medical aid and referred to Quetta.

Due to clash Quetta-Chaman highway remained blocked for quite long time and hundreds fo big and small vehicle stranded on both sides.

Taliban form local madaris and motabareen fo Al Sadaat tribe played role for ceasefire and stopped the battle. Local administration also reached the scene and held talks and got their trenches vacated. Written guarantee was also sought form the heads of these tribes and stopping work at the disputed land.

Both the tribes alleged each other of initiating the firing and claimed they opened fire in self defence.
