5000 appeared in SSUET pre-entry test

KARACHI: As many as 5000 candidates appeared in the pre-entry test for admissions to bachelor degree programs announced by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) for academic year 2015 at Karachi Expo Centre under strict security measures.

The two-hour test was held on time and a large number of candidates from Gilgit, Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and other parts of four provinces appeared in the test.

Chancellor SSUET Engr Muhammad Adil Usman visited the examination centre and appraised arrangements of the authorities concerned.

Speaking on the occasion, Engr Usman said:”SSUET prepares future leaders to succeed in the competitive world of professionals with their extraordinary skills and outstanding ability.”

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Jawaid Hasan Rizvi pointed out that keeping the new emerging trends, the university has introduced Electrical Engineering Department from the new academic year. The university has already started three new programs – Software Engineering, Architecture and Bioinformatics to meet the growing market demand.

Results will be announced in December that may be seen on SSUET Notice Board and university website www.ssuet.edu.pk Classes for new batch 2015 will start from 3rd week of January.
