ACE team raids Rural Health Center Naundero

LARKANA: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Karachi’s team, headed by its Technical Officer Irshad Memon, conducted a raid at Rural Health Center Naundero. The team, accompanied by ACE Larkana local officials, conducted a probe into the the ongoing construction work of OPD and residential blocks. The officials also checked the uplift works physically.

The work was scheduled to be completed in 2015 at the cost of Rs 133.042 million but was delayed owing to non-release of sanctioned funds. Technical Officer Irshad Memon told Reporters that on the directives of Chief Secretary Sindh, they had detected that the contractor used low quality material. We have seized all the relevant record from 2013 to 2015 and will probe it.

XEN Akhtiar Junejo that the required budget was not released due to which the scheme remained in doldrums. “However now funds have been provided, and work is underway and it will be completed in June 2016,” he said. Dr Irshad Morio, RHC Medical Superintendent said that he was unsatisfied with the contractor’s work.
