Advance salaries paid for Deewali

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Minorities and Excise & Taxation Gayan Chand Esrani on Tuesday said that the government had paid advance salaries to Hindu employees on the occasion of their religious festivity, Deewali.

Esrani said that government had paid advance salaries to Hindu employees so that they could celebrate their religious festival in good manner. He said that advance salaries had been given to Hindu employees in Sindh government organisations.

The minister congratulated the Hindu community on their religious festival and asked to perform special prayers for safety of Pakistan.
