Aged convict dies in Larkana

KARACHI: A 70-years convict died in Under-Trial Prisoners Ward (UTP) of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) here on Tuesday.

Nawab Ali son of Ghulam Hussain Mashori was resident of Khairpur Nathan Shah and was admitted in the UTP Ward on 08th June, 2015 as a case of Chronic Liver Disease (CLD) and Hepatitis B.

He had been awarded 25 years imprisonment in murder case of K N Shah police station limits which took place in 2007 and was in prison for last eight years. His son Ghulam Mohammad is also in Central Prison, Larkana in the same case.

Police sources said that Sindh High Court Circuit Court, Larkana, granted him bail on Monday in the sum of Rs50,000 but he could not be released due to incomplete documents. The dead body was handed over to the heirs after fulfilling legal requirements.
