Al-Khidmat rushes volunteers to flood-hit areas

KARACHI: Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan leader and former mayor of Karachi Naimatullah Khan on Monday expressed grief on the deaths to rain and floods and said Al-Khidmat Foundation has already rushed its volunteers to flood-hit areas, who are helping affectees all over Pakistan.

In a statement here Monday, he said hundreds of Al-Khidmat volunteers are serving in Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Peshawar, Southern Punjab and other parts of country where rain and flood have ravaged whole localities. These volunteers are providing tents, medicines, food and other relief goods and this operation is in full swing.

Al-Khidmat volunteers are shifting the affectees to safer places and taking care of them, as these people are facing a very difficult situation. He said people who yesterday owned personal houses are today compelled to live under open sky and they urgently need medicines, food, tents, cash and basic necessary things.

He appealed to people of Pakistan and specially the citizens of Karachi to help providing these people medicine, food, tents, cash and other relief items from the platform of Al-Khidmat. “We never leave them alone in these trying moments.”
