Islamabad: Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that all demands of PTI and PAT have been accepted but their illegal and unconstitutional demand for resignation of the prime minister cannot be entertained.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Saturday, he said the tendency to dislodge the Government through pressure tactics would render the system instable and no prime minister would be able to run the country smoothly in the future.

The minister questioned why should the government resign when its policies have strengthened the economy. “China is ready to invest billions of dollars in Pakistan and the world is reposing confidence in Pakistan’s economic performance.”

He said business and educational activities in Islamabad have badly been affected by prolonged protests. The Minister regretted that Imran Khan is levelling wild allegations against judges, lawyers, parliamentarians and journalists.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government respects other parties and the mandate given to them.

PTI has been given mandate by people of Pakistan to sit in the opposition and keep a vigil on the performance of the government. He urged PTI to play constructive politics in the parliament rather than creating fuss on roads.
