All set to hold PTI’s Larkana public meeting on Nov 21

LARKANA: All arrangements have been finalized for the first public meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) which will be addressed by its chief Imran Khan on Friday, November 21, 2014, in village Aliabad near Bakrani, 12 kilometres from Larkana.

Over half a million square feet space has been prepared where about 35,000 chairs will be kept. Tight security arrangements will be made as police and Rangers will be deployed in the area. Walkthrough gates will also be installed and every person will be physically checked.

Stage is still under construction but the organizer Shafqat Unar said that it would be completed before the event. over one million square feet land has been reserved for parking of vehicles. The venue has been divided into four zones. Stage will be under red zone, ladies & notables in green zone, blue zone for common men and yellow zone will be reserved for parking area.

In this connection, PTI leader Shafqat Unar told media that Imran Khan would arrive in Moenjo Daro airport on Friday, where he would be taken to the spot in a large unprecedented procession where he would address the gathering.

PTI Sindh President Nadir Akmal Leghari visited the public meeting venue and also met Adil Unar, elder son of former Sindh Minister and PPP MPA late Haji Altaf Hussain Unar, nephew Ghulam Umar and others at their residence and exchanged views.

Leghari said that the Larkana public gathering would be a historic event. Adil Unar said on the occasion said that he would announce joining PTI on November 21 in presence of Imran Khan. Deputy Commissioner Ganhwar Laghari and SSP Nisar Channa also visited the stage and other areas where they told reporters that police and rangers would be deployed for providing security to the gathering.

They said that walkthrough gates would also be installed in consultation with the PTI leaders. They further said that Karachi traffic police had been requested to arrive along with their equipment to control the traffic situation during the day.

Three medical camps will also be established by Chandka Hospital, District Health Office and PPHI where senior doctors and paramedics will be available to provide medical cover to the incoming ailing people.
