KARACHI: The Founder Leader of MQM Altaf Hussain has expressed concerns over the large scale deaths and financial losses caused by torrential rains and floods.

“People like me are sad and distressed over the deaths of skilled, hard-working people in large numbers. On the one hand our armed forces are fighting the toughest war of their history in North Waziristan and on the other hand personnel of army, navy and air force are rescuing people.  I salute and pay tributes to their services.”

“Those who have broken the protective embankments cannot escape the wrath of Allah because their action is causing deaths and destruction.”

Hussain has directed all district and tehsil level office-bearers and workers of Punjab to set up medial and relief camps in their areas to help the victims of disaster in every possible way.

He prayed for the people who have died due to torrential rains and consequent floods. He prayed Allah to give them high place in paradise and give strength to bereaved families to bear the loss.
