Annual nursing exams begin in Sindh

KARACHI: Annual nursing examination 2014-15 has begin in Sindh province under the supervision of Sindh Nursing Board of Examination after three month delay where around 8,000 male and female are appearing in the exams.

About 14 examination centres had been established across the province where 7,894 male and female nursing students are appearing in annual exams of general nursing 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and nurse midwife.

As many as six examination centres had been established in Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, College of Nursing Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Illmia Nursing Institute, School of Nursing Civil Hospital Karachi, James Nursing School and School of Nursing Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Meanwhile, the post Controller Sindh Nursing Board of Examination had been lying vacant since last two months and provincial health department authorities concerned had failed to appoint controller on vacant post yet. The Deputy Director Nursing Habib Soomro had been given additional charge controller examination Sindh Nursing Board of Examination.

Sources at Directorate of Nursing Sindh told PPI that nursing examination in Punjab, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were held as per schedule in September 2015 but in Sindh province annual exams has started from 7th December 2015 after three months delay.
