Another 4 police men gunned down in target killing

QUETTA: Four more policemen including ASI were killed in fresh target killing when miscreants opened fire at their mobile van in Pashtoonabad here Thursday.

This is second attack on police mobile in the area in just one week. In the earlier incident four police including an ASI were killed.

According to details miscreants riding motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire at a police mobile which was on patrol in Pashtunabad. Two policemen died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries on the way to Hospital.

Those killed were identified as ASI Wazir Mohammad, Constable Mahmoodul Hassan, Constable Zahir Khan and driver Kaleemullah.

Police and Frontier Corps reached the spot and cordoned the area.

Capital City Police Officer Abdul Razzaq Cheema who visited the scene of incident told Newsmen that this was second incident of target killing of policemen during one week. Durign these incidents eight police officials have been killed. In today’s incident he added four policemen including ASI were martyred.

He said investigations in two incidents have been started and we would bring details before Media. He said we would further tighten security. Police was chasing a masked motor cycle riding. In the meanwhile other motorcyclists coming from behind opened fire on the police mobile and ran away.

He said we were working on a group involved in firing since last night. He said it was decided earlier Falcon motorcycle riders would accompany police mobiles. Unfortunately it could not be done today and this incident took place.
