Anti-polio campaign concludes in KP

Peshawar:A four days anti-polio campaign undertaken in thirteen selected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended the other day. Immunization of a total of 3273508 children against polio virus was the set target for the drive whereas a total of 3286218 children under the age of five years were immunized in thirteen districts during the campaign which is more than 100 per cent of the set target.

According to a report of Polio Emergency Operation Centre of the provincial health department, 173809 children were vaccinated in district Bannu, 276634 in Charsadda, 289276 in D.I. Khan, 114875 in Hangu, 125336 in Krark, 189032 in Kohat, 169385 in Lakki Marwat, 379207 in Mardan, 266386 in Nowshehra, 747439 in Peshawar, 447478 in Swat, 71132 in Tank and 36229 in Torghar.
