Army clinches top position in National Judo Championship 2015

Karachi: Army judokas claimed top position in 5th Junior Judo Championship, which concluded on Wednesday in Peshawar.

Army clinched two gold and a silver medal in the tournament to finish on top of the tournament table. KPK won one silver and two bronze medals to secure second position while FATA won one bronze medal to end at the third spot on the podium.

Meanwhile, 24th edition of Senior Judo Championship will commence today (Thursday) with 14 teams set to feature from across the country. Teams of KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, FATA, AJK, Pak Army, WAPDA, Navy, HEC, Police and Railway will take part in the tournament.

The Championship will be held under 10 different weight categories, which are Under 50, -55, -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, -100, +100Kg and Open weight category.
