Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League Sindh chapter President Haleem Adil Sheikh has demanded immediate arrest of the killer of innocent four-years-old Kamran, who was killed brutally by his own stepfather.

Visiting the house of deceased Kamran at Korangi on Wednesday, Haleem Adil Sheikh met with the uncle of Kamran, Abrar Ali, and assured him that the PML Sindh would not only assist the legal committee to fight the case of innocent Kamran, but also fully help in medical treatment of his injured sibling. He said the brutal murder of the innocent child was a grave violation of child rights and it was an anti-humanity crime, which is condemned in strongest possible words.

Sheikh demanded that the police should arrest the killer and present him before anti-terrorist court; as such criminals do not deserve any leniency. He also helped the bereaved family financially during the meeting.

On the occasion, people belonging to the locality gathered there and appraised the PML Sindh leader about the details of the sad incident. They told that previous day a drug-addict man attacked his stepsons Kamran and his brother Adnan with a hammer and injured them. Both siblings were rushed to a local hospital, where Kamran breathed his last while Adnan was still admitted in critical condition.

Haleem Adil said such sad incidents have increased terror and fear in our society that has already been in the grip of lawlessness and terrorism. He said such grave incidents are being reported from the whole country and it needs taking serious and solid steps to check them. He said the federal government should take steps so that such grave violations of human rights may not occur. He asked launching an awareness drive in this regard.

He said in the interior Sindh such incidents are a routine matter but the provincial government of Sindh always ignores them. He said due to poverty, hunger and lawlessness people are forced to kill their children or commit suicides, while the bureaucracy always swept these grave issues under the carpet.

On the occasion, PML leaders Irshad Qaimkhani, Rana Jaffar, Mirza Azeem Baig and others were present.
