Arshad Pappu murder case hearing adjourned till 29 Sept

Karachi: An Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu murder case till 29th September after recording the statements of three witnesses.

Police brought six accused, Shahjahan Baloch, Zakir alias Dada, Zubair Baloch, Abdur Raheem, former police inspector Yousuf and Javed in an armoured personnel carrier (APC) before ATC-II Judge under tight security.

According to police, Arshad Pappu, his brother Yasir Arafat and friend Shera Pathan were allegedly killed by Shahjahan Baloch and his accomplices on 16th march 2013.

Three witnesses, police constable Mohammad Yousuf, Assistant Sub Inspector Abid Tanoli and Azam Khan, recorded their statements before ATC-II.

After recording the statements of witnesses, ATC-II adjourned the hearing of the case till September 29.

The FIR 23/2013 was registered on the complaint of Arshad Pappu’s widow under section 364-A (kidnapping a person under the age of fourteen), 302 (premeditated murder), 297(trespassing on burial place), 392 (punishment for robbery), 109 (punishment of abetment if the Act abetted committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment) and 34(common intention) at the Kalakot police station.
