KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Additional Secretary General and Senator Raza Rabbani on Saturday advised the federal government to call in-camera joint session of the National assembly and take parliamentarians into confidence on reasons and intelligence information that led the government to invoke Article 245 in Islamabad.

In a statement issued from PPP media cell, Rabbani said that Article 245 has political disadvantages as when this article in enforced in an area it eliminates high courts’ writ in that area under Article 199 of the constitution. “It means that basic rights for the citizens could not be enforced in that area which is like usurping basic human rights,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah met Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed at CM House in Karachi and discussed current political situation and other bilateral issues.
