Artists vs cricketers to play T-20 ‘Salam Pakistan’

KARACHI: Singer Ali Zafar and veteran cricketer Shoaib Malik would lead teams of artists and cricketers, respectively in a T-20 match to be played at National Stadium on 31st January (Saturday).

The match is named ‘Salam Pakistan’, while the theme of the match is ‘Pakistan a United Nation’, told a delegation of Pakistan Media Development Foundation during a meeting with of Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui at his office while detailing him about the T-20 match.

The commissioner said the match between national heroes of cricket and leading artists would help in promoting the efforts of peace in the city and establish a positive image of Karachi in the world. Strong and effective security measures would be taken to ensure fool-proof security at the occasion.

Saqlain Mushtaq, Inzama-ul-Haq, Fawad Alam, Moin Khan, Younus Khan, Kamran Akmal and Rashid Latif are included in the team of national heroes of cricket. Javed Miandad is also expected in cricketers’ side.

While, the artists’ team include Fawad Khan, Fakhr-e-Alam, Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Saud Qasmi, Ali Sufyan and Fahad Mustafa.

The match would be broadcasted live on Pakistan Television.
