ATC acquits two accused in murder case

KARACHI: An Anti Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) on Wednesday acquitted two accused Hafeezullah alias Nafsiati and Naeem in murder case. The accused, Hafeezullah alias Nafsiati and Naeem, were found not guilty in firing incident on bus. Six people were gunned down and several others injured in an incident of firing on Mashallah Coach. ATC-III judge pronounced the verdict after recording statements of witnesses and final arguments from both sides.

The two accused were arrested by the police on suspicion of being involved in firing incident.

The case FIR was registered under section 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempt to murder), 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the Site A police Station.
