ATC declares Hammad Siddiqui, others proclaimed offenders

KARACHI: An Anti Terrorism Court on Tuesday declared five accused as proclaimed offenders in Mohabbat-e-Sindh rally attack case.

Kharadar Police submitted report before the ATC that absconders including In-charge Organizational Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Hammad Siddiqui, Mubashir Naqvi, Kamran alias Kala, Manzoor alias Manju and Rizwan were not residing their homes and they could not be arrested.

The court declared MQM’s Hammad Siddiqui and others as proclaimed offenders. The court also ordered confiscation of the properties belonging to the accused.

At least 10 people including a woman were killed and several others injured when Mohabbat-e-Sindh rally came under gunmen attack in Saddar area of Karachi in 2012.

The names of accused revealed by arrested accused Amir alias Sar Phata, who is in police custody in connection of attack on rally.
