ATC indicts accused in Hamza murder case

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday indicted Shoaib Naveed, a main accused of Hamza’s murder case, who was killed by a security guard of his schoolmate in Defense Housing Authority in April 2013.

The main accused Shoaib Naveed along with other accused was produced before ATC today. The court indicted the accused who pleaded not guilty against the charges labeled against them and pleaded themselves innocent.

The court summoned all the witnesses of the murder case in the next hearing which is scheduled for 21st November.

According to the prosecution, teenager Hamza Ahmed was gunned down by Amal Rehman, a guard of his school mate Shoaib Naveed in April 2013.

The case was registered under section 302 ( premiditated murder), 109(abetment) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 at Darakhshan police station.
