ATC remands accused in murder attempt, extortion case

Karachi: Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) on Saturday remanded one accused, Mohammad Nasir alias Mulla PMT in police custody till 10th September 2014 in attempt to commit murder and money extortion case.

Police produced the accused before ATC-III under tight security.

According to the prosecution, the accused was involved in firing incident in which complainant Dewan and Imran Shokat were injured on 20th August 2014 in the jurisdiction of Kharadar Police Station.

The Investigation Officer, Aijaz Hussain Mughal, requested that police needed his investigation and physical custody to trace his connections and other accomplices in the case, Luqman alias Khan and Bilal alias Kamran who are still absconding. The court accepted the request of police and remanded the accused in police custody till 10th September.

The case FIR (248/14) was registered under Section 386(Extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) 324( Attempt to commit) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the Kharadar Police Station.
