LARKANA: All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Health Wing of Larkana & Sukkur Districts, has once again demanded closure of Administration Block of Chandka Medical College Hospital on Saturdays in compliance to the Sindh government notification of taking austerity measures in the province and to save energy.

In this connection, a meeting was held in Sukkur where clerical staff of Ghulam Mohammad Mahar Medical College Hospital also participated including Shamshad Jokhio, G M Narejo, Karimdad Bugti, Aijaz Mirani, Sher Khan and others also took part. They said that offices of DHOs in Sindh, SSPs, DIGPs and others remain shut on Saturdays but their hospitals and police stations continue to work and discharge their government duties in a routine manner.

They unanimously decided that if government takes no action over their justified demand then the matter will be taken up in a grand meeting of provincial health wing’s clerks under the chairmanship of Maqbool Mahar where further line of action will be chalked out. They further decided to enhance contacts with other clerical wings working in teaching hospitals of the province to unite so that problem could be resolved in peaceful manner.
