BA demands end to unconstitutional activities

QUETTA: Balochistan assembly while expressing grave concern of dharnas and situation arising from unconstitutional and illegal demands in Federal capital has demanded of federal government. It called for immediate end to all unconstitutional and undemocratic activities forth with so that people could have sigh of relief and journey of development continues.

Demand was made in a joint resolution moved in special sitting of the House here Monday. Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali chaired the session.

Speaking on the joint resolution Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Senior minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Provincial Ministers Shaikh Jaffar Mandokhel, Dr Hamid Achakzai, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Jogezai, Sardar Mustafa Tareen, Aslam Bizenjo, Rehmat Baloch, Khalid Langav, Obedullah Babat, Abdul Majid Abro, Izhar Hussain Khosa, MPAs Nasrullah Zeray, William Barkat, Raheela Durrani, Dr Shama Ishaq, Manzoor Kakar, Prince Ahmed Ali, Opposition MPAs Mufti Gulab, Haji Abdul Malik Kakar, Shahida Rauf and others said this house expressed grave concern over situation developing from sit ins, unconstitutional and illegal demands in Federal capital and terms it deep conspiracy against country’s constitution, democratic system and people.

Members of the house are unanimous that solution to political issues lies in only political procedure and constitution and law. They said this House is custodian and guarantee to maintain continuity of democracy in every situation because our elders have rendered sacrifices for democracy and for this country.

They said after 1999 once again political parties jointly struggled for restoration of democracy and end to dictatorship but some elements who cannot gather 8 to 120 people were using wrong words against prime Minister and Democracy. They said Prime Minister and chief Minister are law in their person. Using wrong words against them is violation of law and we condemn it and demand that action should be taken against them according to law and constitution.

They said a democratic government is in the country which has been returned by the people and millions of people are behind this democratic government. If Allah forbid 8 to 10 thousand people demand dissolution of assemblies then millions of people would come out and no one can run government.

They said these forces must not misunderstand that coming of 10 thousand people would end elected governments and assemblies.

They said PTI has got mandate in a province. If was really well wishers of democracy and people it should serve people of Khyber Pashtoonkhwa democratically because like Balochistan people of KP are faced with various problems and difficulties particularly law and order, education and health facilities.

They said that civil disobedience movement in fact a step against the democracy and country and people of whole of Pakistan have rejected it. Even ministers and members of assembly belonging to PTI have expressed anger over this.

House unanimously adopted the resolution.
