Biker dies in road mishap

LARKANA: A motorcyclist was crushed under the wheels of an official police vehicle of SP Headquarters, Sukkur, near Tando Masti, on Tuesday morning.

According to the heirs of the deceased, 50-years Haji Muhammad Panah Drigh, he was riding his motorcycle when he was hit from behind by police vehicle going to Sukkur.

Haji Panah was seriously injured and rushed to Casualty of the Chandka Hospital here where he expired. Larkana Police claimed that the deceased came under their two mobile vehicles which were escorting the Superintendent of Police to provide security to him.

In yet another incident a 20-years-old Muhammad Ismail son of Muhammad Arif Kalhoro was gunned down on the pretext of Karo-Kari in the limits of Veehar police station in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to SHO Zubair Soomro the deceased had gone at dawn time to water his agricultural field when unknown criminals gunned him down. The incident took place at village Peechar Kalhoro of the same police station limits.

The villagers suspected that the young man was killed by the rivals on the pretext of Karo-Kari as they had also killed one woman a year ago on the same charge.

Police is probing the matter further.
