Larkana: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and Chandka Teachers Association (CTA), Larkana Chapter, observed a ‘black day’ in Chandka Medical College & Hospital on Monday.

They boycotted all CMC & BADC classes as well as OPD duties to protest against the brutal killing of their two senior colleagues namely Dr. Partab Rai and Dr. Imdad Soomro.

Dr. Partab was critically injured after firing at his private clinic in February 2014 and expired last night at Karachi after battling for eight months with bullet injuries whereas the dead body of Dr. Imdad Soomro was found near Jamshoro Power Plant four days back.

Dr. Soomro was kidnapped for ransom by unknown criminal gangsters from Hyderabad. Hundreds of poor patients suffered very badly due to closure of the main CMCH OPD Block as most of them had arrived here from far flung & remote areas of more than 12 districts of upper Sindh, parts of Balochistan and lower part of Punjab to get specialized medical treatment to save their precious lives.

After boycotting their duties all the doctors went to the residence of Dr. Partab Rai who were led by Dr. Shah Baig Chandio, Dr. Ikram Tunio, PMA President & General Secretary respectively and CTA President Prof: Badar Junejo and offered their joint heartfelt condolences with the bereaved Hindu family.

They expressed their solidarity with the weeping family and assured them that all possible help will be extended to them because all doctors are united with them.
