Body to collect asset details of MQM lawmakers

KARACHI: A joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was convened in London and Pakistan by Altaf Hussain for bringing reforms in the affairs of the party.

It was also decided in the meeting to form an Assets Committee to be headed by member of the Co-ordination Committee Kunwar Khalid Yunus. The Asset Committee will gather details about the financial assets of all ministers, senators, MNAs, MPAs and other office-bearers of the party ever since they joined the MQM.

It was decided in the meeting to a give a last and final warning to MNAs, MPAs, ministers and office-bearers to treat the families of missing persons and martyred workers with dignity and not demean them as their servants.

Altaf Hussain also directed that no member of the Co-ordination Committee or any minister will attend any marriage function. He said that the local MNA, MPA and office-bearers of sectors and units should attend the marriage functions in their respective areas.
