Cash van robbery accused remanded till Sep 13

Karachi: Karachi Sessions Court on Saturday remanded three accused, Gul Fayyaz, Ayaz Ahmed and Rafiullah in police custody till 13 September 2014 in cash van robbery case.

The police produced three accused before link judge Sohail Ahmed under tight Security.

Investigation Officer requested that police needed their investigation and physical custody to trace their connections and other accomplices in the crime and for further interrogation about the case, which the court accepted.

According to prosecution accused including van driver Rafiullah, Gul Fayyaz and Ayaz Ahmed were involved in robbery of Phoenix Security Company cash-van carrying Rs15 million and killing of one security guard, Noor Khan outside a bank branch in Shershah on 4 September 2014.Police Claimed to have recovered Rs12.3 million from the possession of accused.

A case FIR 174/2014 was registered under Sections 392(Punishment for robbery), 397(Robbery or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 302 (premeditated murder), 407(Criminal breach of trust by carrier, etc), 109(Punishment of abetment if the Act abetted committed In consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment), 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Shershah Police Station.
