CCA to improve healthcare facilities of employeesJanuary 7, 2015
Karachi: Air Marshal (Retd) Mohammad Yousaf, Director General CAA while visiting CAA Medical Centre at JIAP Karachi said that Civil Aviation Authority employees are being provided the best medical facilities available and they are also taking steps to further improve the facilities. He also said that retired officers and staff will now receive additional 20% & 25% of pension as medical allowance, respectively.
Air Marshal (Retd) Mohammad Yousaf, Director General CAA visited the Medical Centre of Civil Aviation Authority where he was accompanied by Senior Additional Director (Medical Services), Dr. Jawed Ahmed. On his visit DG CAA was given a briefing about the functions of Medical Centre and he examined different facilities such as Dental Surgery, Laboratory, Operation Theatre, Consultants’ Rooms, E.C.G Centre etc.
The DG CAA talked to different patients and took feedback from them on the facilities and care of Medical Centre. DG-CAA also talked to the paramedics and instructed them to further improve the standard of services.
Air Marshal (Retd) Mohammad Yousaf, Director General CAA further said that besides having Medical Centre at Karachi, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority also has Medical Centers in Lahore and Hyderabad. He also said that in order to provide best medical treatment to the employees, their spouses, children and parents, all the Major Hospitals, Medical Consultants and Laboratories are also on the panel of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
He also gave directions to the paramedics of CAA Medical Centre to be kind and friendly with the patients as he believes that courteous approach leads to healthier environment.
