LARKANA: Chandka Teachers Association (CTA) in its meeting here on Thursday decided to postpone its scheduled protest and hunger strike till 21 September 2015 as CTA President Professor Khursheed Abbasi met VC BBMU who gave him a copy of the letter addressed and sent to the Sindh chief minister requesting him to allow for issuing appointment orders of 39 professors, associate and assistant professors & senior registrars to fulfil the requirement of PMDC, HEC and in compliance of Sindh High Court directives issued in CP No: D-407 of April 2014.

Prof Ghulam Asghar Channa, Vice Chancellor, Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana, said in his letter that no response had yet been received about his earlier letter dated September 03, sent to the Secretary, Universities & Boards and delay in the compliance of the directives and judgment of Sindh High Court must be avoided by the university.

Moreover, this delay, the letter added, is causing restlessness in the faculty members and is opening the door for the litigation on the university for bad governance. The VC has requested the CM to allow for issuing orders, as the process of selection started well before the issuance of ban letter.
