CITY: (Broadcast journalists urged to equip themselves with latest technology)

ISLAMABAD: Director News and Current Affairs, Radio Pakistan Mushtaq Ahmad Kaifi has called upon the broadcast journalists to equip themselves with the latest technology and modern gadgets to meet the challenges of the new era.

He was delivering a lecture to the newly inducted trainee Sub-Editors of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy here on Wednesday.

He said that all out efforts are being made to provide best possible facilities to the trainees. He said after completion of six month training the trainee Sub-Editors will be appointed at different PBC stations all over the country.

Earlier, Controller Social Media, Riaz Ahmad also delivered a lecture on the Importance of Social Media and Introduction to Radio Pakistan’s website. He said efforts are underway to upgrade the Radio Pakistan’s website with the cooperation of international experts.

During the question-answer sessions at the end of both the lectures, the trainees asked different questions about the functioning of Radio Pakistan and Central News Organization, generating a healthy discussion on the topics of the day.

The trainees expressed their pleasure over the vital role being played by the Director General Radio Pakistan Imran Gardezi to ensure rigorous and modern training of all the participants to make them a valuable asset of PBC. As many as 40 Sub-Editors are attending the Induction training Course.
